| Repair parts are available for both the mercury switch and snap switch
units. Parts common to both types of units include the float & rod assembly and
bellows assembly. Others, such as the switches, can only be used in their respective
models. Head Mechanisms are interchangeable. You can use a snap switch head to replace a mercury switch head, for example. The operating mechanism is the same, only the type of switch changes. Keep in mind that the different models, such as 157R, 150J, etc., use the same head mechanism The only difference is the body. There is no such thing as a 157RL head mechanism, for example. You do need to be aware of whether it is an M (manual reset) or MD (maximum differential) unit. Order a head with the appropriate letter designation for either of these and it will fit on the specific body model. There is a complete breakdown of available parts and reference charts for the different models in the Replacement Parts catalog MM-701 or on our website http://www.mcdonnellmiller.com |
